TRANSPORT COMPLIANCE CONTROLLER

Behind every vehicle that leaves our yard legally and safely, someone has kept the paperwork right: tachograph data, driver infringements, defect follow-up and operator licence records, all in order. That's this role.

You'll take real day-to-day ownership of fleet compliance, working closely with our Transport Managers rather than just supporting from the sidelines. If you've got some grounding in transport compliance already and you want to make it your own, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking ownership of driver infringements and looking at tachograph data day-to-day
• Reviewing daily driver defect reports and following up where action is needed
• Tracking servicing schedules across the fleet, keeping everything on time and compliant
• Talking directly to drivers about compliance issues as they come up
• Working closely alongside the Transport Managers on compliance and operator licence requirements, with their support when you need it
• Supporting toolbox talks and driver briefings
• Keeping accurate, well-organised records ready for DVSA and operator licence inspection
• Spotting compliance risks early and raising them before they become a problem

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in transport or fleet compliance, ideally including tachograph work or operator licence admin
• A working knowledge of DVSA regulations and drivers' hours rules, or a real willingness to get on top of them
• Comfortable talking to drivers, in person and by phone, about compliance matters
• Organised and accurate with records, someone who takes pride in getting the detail right
• A team player, happy working closely with the Transport Managers rather than fully independently
• Good IT skills and comfortable picking up compliance record-keeping systems
