When the workshop needs something, the team is counting on you to get it. You'll track down hydraulic and engineering fittings at speed, find solutions when suppliers can't deliver and be the first port of call when a customer walks in with a fitting nobody can identify. What You’ll Be Doing

• Running the trade counter at Weston, welcoming customers and delivering a knowledgeable, helpful service

• Sourcing and supplying HGV parts and materials to keep the Weston workshop moving

• Identifying a wide range of fittings and components, even when they arrive without a part number or reference

• Supporting our engineering team and mobile fitters at Sutton-on-Trent with parts and materials

• Finding alternative solutions when lead times from suppliers are an issue

• Managing stock rotation, ordering and pricing independently

• Keeping the stores to an impeccable standard with tight stock control throughout

• Working with Sage 200 for parts and stock management

• Supporting the implementation of a barcode system to modernise the stores

• Proactively flagging low stock before it affects the workshop or field teams

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in HGV parts, heavy industry or agricultural environments, with a working knowledge of hydraulic and engineering fittings

• Strong stock control experience and genuine pride in how a stores is run

• A proactive mindset, if something is needed, you find a way to get it

• Confidence on the trade counter, friendly, knowledgeable and customer focused

• Good IT skills, Sage 200 experience is a bonus but not essential

• Common sense and the ability to work things out when a customer brings in something unusual

• Willingness to learn, grow and help develop systems as the business evolves

• Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience
