Ever fancied getting behind the controls of a 230-tonne crane? Hutchinson are looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our lifting team, working across our Liebherr fleet (60 to 230 tonnes) on sites across construction, industrial and agricultural work. No two lifts are the same, so you won't find yourself stuck doing the same thing twice. If you're punctual, take pride in your kit, and get on well with people, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating our Liebherr crane fleet (60 to 230 tonnes) on customer sites across the UK
- Daily checks, fluids and greasing, logged on the pad in the cab
- Reporting any defects to the Crane Manager and workshop
- Working with slingers, signallers and site teams to plan and carry out each lift
- Following lift plans, method statements and risk assessments
- Keeping the crane clean and presentable on arrival; it reflects on all of us
- Completing job sheets accurately and getting them signed off
- Wearing the company safety gear and branded clothing provided
- Keeping your CPCS or NPORS tickets and training current
What You’ll Bring
- A Class 2 HGV licence
- A valid, up-to-date CPCS card covering mobile cranes
- A Slinger Signaller ticket and safety passport, an advantage
- An Appointed Person or Lift Supervisor ticket, an advantage but not essential
- Crane operating experience preferred, training available for the right candidate
- Punctuality and reliability, and the right attitude with clients and colleagues
- Comfortable working flexible hours; no two days are the same
- Willingness to help the team if required.

- Overtime after 8 hours a day, double time from 2pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday
