GROUP HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

Heavy haulage. Crane and lifting. Specialist trailer servicing. Engineering fabrication, and that's just for starters. What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out and maintaining risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work across our sites
• Getting out on site regularly, not just managing from a desk
• Owning the group health and safety framework and keeping it current
• Investigating incidents and near misses and putting practical fixes in place
• Supporting site leads and managers with day-to-day safety matters
• Maintaining FORS Gold and LOLER compliance
• Reporting directly to the Board of Directors on safety priorities

What You’ll Bring

• NEBOSH qualification (General Certificate minimum)

• IOSH membership (TechIOSH minimum)

• Proven experience in a multi-site health and safety role, ideally within transport, engineering or heavy industry

• Training in ADR awareness would be beneficial

• A practical, common-sense approach focused on solving problems rather than creating them

• Confidence talking to people on the shop floor as well as in the office

• Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel regularly between sites that are 4 miles apart.
